Poses eternas do Homem Vitruviano aos corpos polimerizados
Na última quarta-feira, dia 28, pegamos uma taça de champagne e fomos comer alguns canapés ao lado de Eliana Dedinhos, Mara Gabrilli e do senil casal Carlos Alberto Ricelli e Bruna Lombardi na abertura das exposições “Corpo Humano: Real e Fascinante” e “Leonardo Da Vinci – A Exibição de um Gênio”.
Aos que esperavam uma coisa meio CSI na parte dos corpos polimerizados, com cheiro forte e poses estrambólicas, como nas exposições do Dr. Gunter von Hagens, restou um velado suspiro de frustração.
Segundo o sorridente diretor da mostra, o médico norte-americano Dr. Roy Glover, as "peças" são desenvolvidas e trabalhadas em caráter prioritariamente educativo
Os corpos ficam com um aspecto plastificado, como se fossem manequins. Uns bonecões com olhar congelado e provocante, perdido no infinito.
Ainda assim, saber que estamos praticamente nos olhando por dentro, esmiuçando o que a maioria de nós jamais imaginou ver, é bastante impressionante.
No subsolo, onde estão as réplicas das obras de Da Vinci, é encantador ver como alguém podia ser tão genial e avançado para sua época, ainda que as peças, todas marrons, estejam dispostas de uma forma nada original.

Unidentified or unclaimed Chinese bodies are shown on a controversial exhibition called Bodies Revealed.
Using real human specimens, painstakingly prepared and respectfully displayed, the Bodies Revealed exhibition lets visitors of all ages explore deep within the human body in a way that informs but doesn’t overwhelm.
As the visitor moves from gallery to gallery, the exhibition uses 14 full body human specimens and over 200 organs to tell the story of the miraculous systems at work within each of us every second of our existence.

This exhibit uses bodies from China. It is unknown whose bodies they are. They may be the bodies of prisoners even political prisioners. The claim that they were legally obtained in China is meaningless. China is a dictatorship, not a nation of laws. Even if we could be assured that permission was obtained for the use of the bodies, we should not be satisfied. Real bodies are being used to attract attention and sell tickets, and the exhibit could just as easily been made without the use of "real" bodies. The very fact that there are so many unclaimed bodies in this strange nation highlights an important point, don't you think?
Maybe you should look beyond your blinkered view of what is "respectful" for a corpse, Aaron, and try to look at the wider context?
